SANNA PATRICK

ABOUT

SANNA PATRICK is a fashion brand for strong, powerful people, aiming to produce inheritable garments. Charmed by the Spherical Human philosophy by Plato, which aims to engender mutual love, Sanna and Patrick want to celebrate the beauty and joy of life. It is their relationship which manifests in the collections.

The Spherical Human philosophy is the Platonic idea that, at the beginning of mankind, we were spherical beings. Perfect self-sufficient units. There were all-male, all-female, and female-male beings.

It describes why we fall in love, why we long for proximity and why different sexual tendencies exist. Because: When people, due to their perfect spherical shape, became too powerful, the gods split them in two halves. Since then they have been looking - we are looking - for our other half and hoping to be able to form a sphere again.

The philosophy encourages compassion, acceptance and respect - towards each human being, as well as our environment.

Sanna and Patrick Schubert are the design team behind SANNA PATRICK. With a family background from different European countries and having lived in many places, they see themselves as Europeans, rather than Germans. These multi cultural influences, as well as their educational backgrounds from Germany, Belgium and Italy, form their creative vision. In their designs, they fuse sharp, Italian tailoring with sportswear elements and a sophisticated elegance, while pursuing a colorful perspective on life.

Sanna has studied fashion design at Reutlingen University, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and Polimoda. She has brought her talent to the likes of Cacharel, A.F. Vandevorst and Hugo Boss. Patrick's background is from the creative industry with a diploma in design from Merz Academy. He has worked as a movie director, producer and as a creative director, before entering the world of fashion.

Together the couple worked on Sanna’s master collection „Girls Are Hunters“, which was presented during Alta Roma and MBFW Berlin Fashion Week, among others. The collection attracted a lot of attention and was showcased in the window display of Société Anonyme, a cult store in Florence. It was awarded with the Rebelpin Fashion Award by Acte.
